Rental terms

Clear terms, written before you book.

Everything that can appear on an invoice is explained on this page. If a line is not here, it is not on your bill.

The essentials

Twelve things worth knowing.

All prices are in UAE dirhams. 5% VAT is added to the final invoice.

Included in every rental

Comprehensive insurance, the daily mileage shown on the car's page, delivery and collection in Dubai, a full tank, 24-hour roadside assistance and a Salik tag.

Security deposit

AED 5,000 to AED 15,000 depending on the car, pre-authorised on a credit card in the main driver's name. It is not charged, and is released 21 days after the car comes back, once tolls and fines have reached us.

Insurance and excess

The excess is capped at the deposit amount. A zero-excess option is available for 15% of the rental price, so that a scratch on a kerb costs you nothing.

Mileage

Between 200 and 300 km a day depending on the car, pooled over the whole rental. Extra kilometres cost AED 10 to AED 25; buy them ahead at booking for a lower rate.

Fuel

Every car is delivered full. Return it full, or we refuel it at the pump price plus a AED 60 service charge.

Salik tolls and fines

Salik crossings are charged at cost. Traffic and parking fines are passed on at cost with a AED 50 handling fee, and you receive the original notice.

Late returns

The first hour is free. After that we charge a quarter of the daily rate per hour, up to one full day. Tell us early and we will extend instead, if the car is free.

Cancellations

Free up to 48 hours before delivery. Within 48 hours we keep one day's rental. Unused days after delivery are not refunded.

Additional drivers

Free of charge, as long as each driver meets the age and licence rules and is named at handover.

Where you can drive

Anywhere in the UAE on paved roads. The cars cannot cross into Oman, and off-road or dune driving is not covered by the insurance.

Damage and accidents

Call us first, then the police on 999 if anyone is hurt or the car cannot move. A police report is required for any insurance claim; we guide you through it.

Care of the car

No smoking and no pets. A specialist cleaning fee of AED 750 applies if a car comes back needing one.

Payment

How and when you pay.

We take Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Apple Pay, and bank transfer for corporate accounts. The rental is paid at handover, or in advance by payment link if you prefer. The deposit must be on a credit card in the main driver's name; debit cards and cash cannot be used for it.

Your final invoice arrives by email when the deposit is settled, listing any tolls, fines or extra kilometres with their original receipts.
